License agreement
NamiSampler end user license agreement · Version 1.1 · 19 October 2026
This agreement is between you and Takunami Audio ("we", "us"), a business registered in Denmark (CVR 38606387), Kattegatvej 45, 1. th., 2150 Nordhavn, Denmark. It covers the NamiSampler software, its updates and its documentation ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software.
1. Trial
You may use the Software free of charge for 14 days to evaluate it. After that you need a license key to continue.
2. License
When you buy a license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to install and use the Software on up to two (2) computers that you own or control, as long as only one of them is used at a time. Your license key is for you only.
3. What you may do
You may use the Software to make commercial and non-commercial music and audio. Sounds you make while using the Software are yours. The Software does not include any samples; your own samples remain subject to their own licenses.
4. What you may not do
You may not:
- share, publish, sell, rent, lend or give away your license key or the Software;
- copy the Software except as needed to install and back it up;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or remove or get around its license check, except where the law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction;
- remove notices about copyright, trademarks or third-party licenses.
5. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you in this agreement.
6. Third-party components
The Software contains the Inter typeface (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and parts of the VST3 SDK (MIT License). Their licenses are shown after this agreement and installed with the Software (on a Mac in /Library/Application Support/NamiSampler/Licenses, on Windows in the NamiSampler program folder). VST is a registered trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Logic Pro, GarageBand and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Other names belong to their owners.
7. Buying, withdrawal and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it acts as the seller towards you, handles payment, tax, invoices and customer service inquiries, and handles returns. Because the Software is delivered immediately, your 14-day right of withdrawal ends when your license key is delivered, if you agreed to that at checkout. Please use the free 14-day trial to make sure the Software works on your system before you buy. If the Software does not work on your system and we cannot fix it, we refund your purchase; just write to us. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under the law, for example if the Software is faulty.
8. Updates and support
We may offer updates and support but are not obliged to. Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with their own terms.
9. Warranty
To the extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. This does not limit any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits or lost work, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Ending the license
This license ends automatically if you break this agreement. You must then stop using the Software and remove it from your computers.
12. Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
13. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country. Please write to us first; we would rather solve any problem together. Consumers in the EU can also complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Nævnenes Hus, naevneneshus.dk).
